Erica Hawks graduated from University of Northern Colorado with her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014. She has worked in the schools with grades K-12, and is well versed in the ins and outs of Colorado State IEPs and Special Education laws. She then moved to the private practice world where she was trained to evaluate and purchase Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices for people of all ages. She worked as the AAC specialist for a private clinic in Greeley, CO for 2 years. She is a certified feeding therapist in the SOS Approach to Feeding through the STAR Institute in Denver, CO. Erica has worked with a range of diagnoses and specializes in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), AAC, and feeding. She is very passionate about her work and enjoys the special bond she creates with each of her clients. Erica is an avid crafter and spends he free time crocheting, cross stitching, and working on projects in her home. She is a member of her local Geek Girl Brunch, where she gets to let her geek flag fly. Most days you can find her at home curled up on the sofa binge watching old TV shows or reading a well loved book.
